We encounter broken every single day. From the way our kids’ elementary school manages “drop off” traffic first thing in the morning to the medium rare steak we ordered for dinner that arrives well done – and so many things in between. We have all been conditioned to respond the same way, and that response is surrender. It is what it is – we can’t expect better. We don’t want to be the “straw that stirs the drink” and we certainly don’t want to be confrontational. We don’t want to be that person at the table that send the steak back! Instead leave it alone, let the status quo rule – accept it because things will never change! There is a psychology to why we leave things broken, and maybe it’s time to address it.
It’s time to stop surrendering to broken. With a little education, and a few simple steps, anyone can start to see improvement. Jodi inspires the deliberate and consistent pursuit of improvement.
Imagine if your corporate team felt empowered and trained to take ownership of processes that directly impact their culture, productivity, turn-over, customer service, and overall bottom line? What if each person, individually, took ownership of things that just weren’t working right? The result would be that overall, things would have to start working better! Why on earth do we avoid this kind of outcome? Imagine if the same ownership was implemented in homes, families, and communities.
