Inspirational and Entertaining Speaker, Author, Performer, Facilitator and Teacher
Due to prematurity, and given too much pure oxygen while incubated, Gail spent her childhood partially sighted. At age eleven, Gail became totally blind and soon after developed her “inner vision.” She has spent her life assisting others in overcoming their obstacles, challenges, fears, and life’s daily struggles, with the hope of empowering others to see their opportunities, choices, passion, creativity, spontaneity and to live a life of greatness.
In 2013, Gail was honored as the first blind woman to win the Ms Colorado Senior America queen and won Fourth Runner Up in the National Ms Senior America pageant held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Gail was also named Best Classroom Speaker by Denver Community Resources, Inc. Gail has spoken for: Blind Taste of the Rockies National Foundation for Fighting Blindness Denver chapter fundraiser; Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Senior Awards dinner, Indianapolis, Indiana; Colorado Association of Hospital Auxilian-Volunteers; Knights of Columbus State Convention Woman’s Auxiliary; the National Foundation Fighting Blindness Chapter meeting; and the Radio Reading Service of the Rockies.
Gail is co-author of Speaking Your Truth, a Woman’s Anthology, Volume Three and Modern Day Miracles by Louise Hay, etc. Added to her repertoire is her CD, titled Singing on Wings of Love. Gail’s professional musical experience includes having sung on a National level a repertoire of both concert and operatic music; sung the leading role as “Mimi” in La Boheme and “Violetta” in La Traviata. Gail currently teaches piano in her home studio.
With her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music, Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance, and her Master of Arts degree in Transpersonal Psychology and Counseling, Gail has continued to inspire, entertain and perform for venues from Elder Care centers to conventions. The one accomplishment Gail especially takes pride in is having built her own “Habitat for Humanity” home.
In 2014, Gail will be speaking for the North Dakota Lion’s State convention, in Jamestown, North Dakota. Gail is in the final editing stages and will be publishing her autobiography, Soaring Into Greatness: a Blind Woman’s Vision to Live Her Dreams and Fly; an inspirational nonfiction novel of courage and perseverance, within the next few months.
